Mortgage Checklist

Whether you’re interested in buying a home or getting a lower interest rate on your current loan, the following items will be required by all lending institutions in order to acquire a new mortgage loan. It is essential to provide as much income and asset documentation as possible upon your initial loan submission if you wish to obtain a new mortgage as easily and efficiently as possible.

 

Please provide clear, legible copies of the following items for each borrower:

  1. Driver’s license
  2. Social security card
  3. Most recent paystubs spanning complete 30-day pay period
  4. W2's for all jobs covering most recent 2 years
  5. Most recent 2 years Federal Tax Returns (all pages, all schedules)
  6. A recent formal statement for your 401K, IRA, stocks, funds, etc. (all pages)
  7. Two months of your most recent formal Checking & Savings account statements (all pages)

If you currently own real estate, these additional items will be required for each property:

  1. Most recent statement for your 1st mortgage
  2. Most recent statement for your 2nd mortgage/heloc (if applicable)
  3. A homeowner’s insurance bill
  4. A property tax statement
  5. Recent HOA bill (if applicable)
